General comments

Infectie is zelflimiterend in immuuncompetente patienten.

Immuungecompromitteerden (bv. HIV+ met CD4+ <100 x 10E6/L): na therapie secundaire profylaxe, 3 x per week 960 mg cotrimoxazol (tot CD4+ > 200*10E6/L).
