Therapie advies ook van toepassing op lintworm infectie met Diphyllobothrium latum en Dypilidium caninum
Taenia species determineren dmv onderzoek aan proglottiden. Bij Taenia solium infectie is er risico op cysticercose
Praziquantel: innemen tijdens of kort na de avondmaaltijd. Veiligheid bij zwangerschap, lactatie en bij kinderen <4 jaar is onvoldoende onderzocht.
