General comments
Amoxicilline + clavulaanzuur is eerste keus; ceftriaxon als alternatief is alleen geindiceerd bij recidief SBP waarvoor recente behandeling met amoxicilline + clavulaanzuur.
Patienten die een SBP hebben doorgemaakt komen in aanmerking voor secundaire profylaxe (zie hoofdstuk: Profylaxe).
